HIGH BANK RACKS UP MEDALS AT THE JOHN BARLEYCORN AND SIP AWARDS
COLUMBUS, OH — Award season continues as the SIP Awards and John Barleycorn Awards announce their winning spirits.
The SIP Awards provides a unique judging competition for spirit brands to gain exposure, feedback, and recognition from unbiased consumers. With a panel of over 300 judges, the 2022 competition saw a new record high of over 1,270 spirit and mixer brand entries from all over the world. This large field of entrants makes even a SIP Awards Bronze medal an impressive accomplishment, as many competitors went home without any recognition.

The John Barleycorn Awards is an international competition created by spirits writers to recognize the preeminent distillers, marketers, and designers of the spirits industry.
The competition gets its name from the centuries-old spirits metaphor John Barleycorn, who was featured in the works of writers, poets, and lyricists like Jack London, Robert Burns, and Steve Winwood.
Each entry was blind-tasted and scored on a 100-point scale for appearance, aroma, taste and finish. Awards were determined based on points. This year, there were over 300 entries in each whiskey category.
