HIGH BANK TAKES HOME 2 MORE BIG AWARDS AT THE 2023 NEW YORK WORLD SPIRITS COMPETITION
COLUMBUS, OH — From coast to coast, High Bank Distillery’s spirits are being recognized as “the best.”
The New York World Wine & Spirits Competition (NYWWSC) is known as one of the most respected judging events in the United States. The judges are among the wine and spirits industry’s most trusted authorities on the regional tastes and trends that drive the wine and spirits markets.
The NYWWSC is a member of The Tasting Alliance, the parent organization of the world-renowned San Francisco World Spirits Competition, San Francisco International Wine Competition, and Singapore World Spirits Competition.
These industry professionals try hundreds of spirits per category. If a spirit receives a high score, it is awarded a gold. These winning spirits are tasted again. If a spirit receives multiple high scores it is then awarded a double gold.
This year, we are excited to report that High Bank won 8 medals, 4 of them being double golds. In addition, High Bank was awarded the following accolades:

As the sister competition of San Francisco, we knew that we would be competing against world-renowned brands at the New York competition. Winning two of the most prestigious awards a distillery can win is truly incredible.
Our Whiskey War Barrel Proof was awarded Best Blended Whiskey in America in 2021 and Platinum in 2023 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Receiving the Best In Class title again at a separate competition really shows the consistency of quality, taste and flavor of this product.
Out of the hundreds of brands that entered the competition from around the world, it’s crazy to think that a local distillery in Columbus, OH had the highest number of medals.
These wins really motivate and continue to push our team to get “The Best” spirits out there.
