MIKE SMITH
Master Distiller
Raised in South Caroline and George, Mike came to Columbus to attend the Columbus College of Art & Design, where he graduated in 2011 with his bachelors. The years after were all a blur and mostly faded from memory. The only thing that matters is that on one rainy day in 2018 he stumbled through the back door of High Bank Distillery.
It was in this moment that his eyes locked with the legendary Master Distiller Adam Hines. There was no doubt, it was fate. In that instance he was immediately graced with the opportunity to learn the business of whiskey and distilling (this really happened). Some would say it’s the people you know that get you where you are, but Mike didn’t know Adam at all, so take that for what it’s worth.
Mike also has an unhealthy obsession with Ninja Turtles.
